Bellevue 3/14

Bellevue 3/14 – Today the Mississippi Walleye Club launched 16 boats in our season opener.  It was great to see all those happy fishermen doing what fishermen do best… share their fish stories.  Mother nature cooperated and a good day was had.  All boats caught fish; it was just the challenge to catch a fish in the 15-20 “keeper” range to bring in for the weigh.

The results of today had the team of Tom Erps and Todd Carnes jigging their way to the win with 3 weighable fish at 7.53 lbs and big fish of 3.53 lbs.  Dave Ahman and Wayne Millmen found a seam of fish late in the day and got 3 fish for 6.02 lbs.  The team of Tim Fiedler and Tracy Adams completed the prize pool at third with two fish at 5.18. Honorable mention goes out to all-Rookie Team of BJ Clemens and Logan Slegert for pounding out some slots and weighing 2 fish, Dave Flurry Jr and Jamey Streif for landing a couple of beautiful 26-inch fish with one being the infuriating 26 15/16” fish, and Justin Willett for catching 4 fish in final 10 minutes but unfortunately no of them weighed… oh so close.

Congratulations to all the teams that competed, the complete results have been posted on the Tournament Page.
