The Mississippi Walleye Club is coming to a pool near you, here is what happened in Bellevue, pool 13, today. MWC goes to Guttenberg April 11th, check us out at www.mississippiwalleyeclub.com. A great day despite the brutal north wind! Todays highlights: The DNR was looking for breeding fish to milk and process for their stocking program so they graciously asked if we could help out, a huge win win. We got to deliver some fish for the cause and they will return tens of thousands of our beloved fish in return for all walleye lovers… so glad we could help. We launched 13 boats today, some faces we haven’t seen in awhile, some kids joined in, as usual a wife came to check us out and probably one of our youngest combined age team history, brothers Mason an Max Jackson came and showed us ole timers they can fish!
Todays better bags; just out of the money was BJ and daughter Maci Eiben with 3 fish 7.90 lbs with Maci carrying the load. Third in standings was Rob and wife Sara Dimmer with 3 fish and 9.59 lbs and Sara carrying the load. Second was Wayne Millmen and nephew Jayden Roussell with 3 fish and 12.32 lbs with Jayden catching a PB 5.90 lb fish. Our winners today with 5 fish and 24.01 lbs and the big fish of the day, a hawg of 9.34 lbs, was Dave Flurry Jr and Jamey Streif. Twenty three fished weighed today, 100% released alive (or to the DNR’s care), numerous caught and released that did not qualify by DNR rules. Congrats to all that fished, congrats to our “winners” of the day (which was all of us once again) 🙂
