The Club hosts “tournaments” through out the open water season.  To determine teams we use two formats, DRAW and PICK.  For DRAW events, participants signup and the DRAW is performed at the monthly meeting preceding the tournament date.  Individuals sign up as a “boater” or a “non-boater”.  (Boaters provide the boat.)  The Tournament Director  randomly draw teams of a boater and non-boater.  For PICK events,  members are allowed to pair up and enter as a team.  You can only team with a club member once a year for a PICK entry.  At the monthly meeting prior to the PICK Tournament date, we will perform a draw of the individual members that wish to join the tournament.   Once all teams are established, boat numbers for the event will be drawn.

The other variance we have with our tournaments is Catch, Record and Release (CCR).   The Iowa DNR rules dictate that during the warmer months we must follow CRR to exert less stress on the fish.
