MWC and Spring Valleye Walleye Trail to Co-host the 2026 Shootout

This year will be huge as the MWC pairs up with SVWT to co-host the Shootou. This is a “points” tournament for Spring Valleye and a non-point event for the MWC. The price of registration enters into a 5 fish weigh tournament. There is an addition sidepot offered for the weigh event, along with two more side pots for big fish and 5 photo fish that are to be entered through a phone app. Below is all the info and signup will all be done through the SV link below.

On Sunday, September 13th 2026, the Spring Valley Walleye Club and Mississippi Walleye Club will host the 2nd Qualifying Event of the 2026 Season on the Mississippi River at Pool 13 – Savanna Park District- Marquette Park Ramp in Savanna, Il.

This is a great opportunity, with friendly competition between both clubs and some of the best payouts you will ever see in team tournaments! Come join the fun as we visit one of our favorite host sites! Pool 13 is an excellent pool teaming with giant walleye and sauger! Also have the opportunity to enter two events with one weigh-in, with many sidepot options! You have the choice to fish one or ALL!! Come join the fun, and we look forward to making this happen!

IWT – Entry Fee is: $150 per 3-person team with nearly 100% payback (less trophy expenses) to 20% of the field. Yes, we SAID NEARLY 100%!! Thank you to all of our sponsors who continue to make this possible! Trophies will be awarded to 1st – 3rd Place!

IWT – optional big fish pot of $50 per team and Optional side pot of $200.00 per team is also available. Both side pots are 100% payback to 3 places! Plaques for 1st Place Big Fish!

Mississippi Walleye Club – Catch – Record and Release Sidepot of $50.00 This will be done on an app exclusive to MWC and will be for slot fish only! So, you may record your largest slot fish for a chance at an additional sidepot.

IWT/MWC – There will be a traveling trophy for the winning club that will stay with the winners for the season!

You must be a member of one club or the other. It is not required to be a member of both! A $25 Spring Valley Walleye Club

Membership is also required to participate (per angler.)

ENTRY CUT-OFF IS – 5 p.m. on 9/12/2026 *NO EXCEPTIONS*

A MANDATORY RULES MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BOAT LAUNCH AT 5 P.M. THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT!

Boat inspection will begin at 5:30 a.m. at the launch.

Tournament Hours – 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

– Boats must be off plane and within site of the dock by 3 p.m.

* 3-person teams allowed.

* 2-Rods per person MAX and no more than 6 rods per team –

with no more than 2 presentations per rod is allowed.

* Slot Limit will be in full effect – 5 fish Limit per team and

possession limit will not exceed 5 fish at anytime, however

culling is allowed. As a replacement fish enters the livewell, your

cull fish must be released.

All walleye, sauger or saugeye MUST be a minimum of 15″ in

length, but NOT touch 20″. All fish between 20″ – 27″ can be entered into the MWC CPR sidepot, then released! Two fish OVER 27″ are allowed per team for the weight portion of the tournament.

* Anglers are allowed to lock up or down at their own risk!

* To avoid controversy Willow Cats will NOT BE ALLOWED!

All other standard IWT rules and regs will apply.

All weigh-in fish must be kept alive, and all fish will be released immediately back to the river after weigh-in!
